Our customer is an international banking group that operates several hundred branches worldwide on different continents. Our client is currently looking for a

(Senior) Legal Counsel (f/m/x) Civil Law & Public Law

This is what you can expect in our client's legal department

• Drafting and revising terms and conditions and contract forms in connection with our client´s products

• Independent processing of contract law issues and contract review

• Providing legal support to all departments; developing practical and legally compliant solutions together with the specialist departments

• Processing and legal review of internal regulations and processes

• Legal support for the branches, in particular in general civil law and inheritance law

• Drafting and revising loan agreements

• Processing of labour law issues in the HR department as well as banking, capital market and commercial law issues

• Support with the implementation and realisation of new regulatory requirements, e.g. currently DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)

• Participation in the further development of outsourcing management

• Support for the data protection officer (e.g. national and international projects from a data protection perspective)

What the existing legal department team expects from you

• Completed Austrian degree in law

• At least five years of banking experience or equivalent relevant professional experience in a law firm

• Interest in the use of new technologies

• Very good German and written and spoken English

• Sense of responsibility and initiative with a hands-on mentality

• High level of commitment and resilience

• Objective and structured way of working  

• Cooperative, communicative and team-orientated personality
